Tiptree Winner Reviewed by the New Yorker!
Sarah Hall got a good, if brief, review in the New Yorker.

This is by way of being a miracle. I can't remember the last time the New Yorker reviewed a book of fantasy or SF. It might have been The Children of Men, by P.D. James.

but the very next entry I read on my friendslist linked to this story. There must be a happy medium somewhere between the world of Daughters of the North and that of this household.

It gies me the cauld grue.

Lorrie Moore reviewed Margaret Atwood's "Oryx and Crake," and several other dystopian/postapocalyptic works have been reviewed.

Also there was an article on Philip K. Dick a while ago, though not everyone on skiffy LJ liked it. I didn't read it myself.
