Bits and Pieces

Five things make a post.

US friends: a Shakespeare First Folio is coming to your state. Last year I saw the one at the Huntington Library, an experience I found far more moving than I expected. Yeah, I think I'm all blase, but apparently some things still get me.

Good poem alert: Andrea Blythe talks back to Ezra Pound on The Things I Own.

(The Pound poem to which this is a response.)

Brainpickings on the mountain adventure of Oliver Sacks, who came close to dying alone in Norway but was saved by music.

The kittens are claimed but not yet taken, so I have been busy playing, petting, and scooping.

How are you doing? What's up with your life?
