Quote of the Day

"It is essential that sacred activists...learn to work together and to form empowering and encouraging "networks of grace" -- beings of like heart brought together by passion, skill and serendipity to pool energies, triumphs, griefs, hopes and resources of all kinds. When people of like mind and heart gather together, sometimes miraculously powerful synergy can result." Andrew Harvey

Signs of the Apocalypse

Repent, the end of the world is at hand. If you don't believe me, check out these links.

Ten predicted apocalypses that fell through.

The Adventures of Lil Cthulhu. An animated children's tale about Lil Cthulhu, who lives at the bottom of the sea. Most of the time.

Does this make mad cow disease an STD? The USB Heated Hamburger Vibrator (SFW unfortunately).

Sex tape tips from expert Carrie Prejean. (Turns out there were at least 8 tapes.)

2012 in 15 minutes, by the amazing [info] cleolinda. No need to see it now -- I'll look for the disaster scenes on a rented DVD.

Kitten climbs cop, sits on his head, and doesn't get Tased. Thanks to Paul for this hilarious video.

Models in blackface. WTF is wrong with people? Site includes nude art photos so is not SFW.

I actually felt sick with rage when I heard about Louisiana Senator Vitter, who says he doesn't know if Loving v. Virginia was a correct decision. He claims: "I haven't read the case." Since he graduated from law school some 21 years after the decision, I think they should revoke his degree and disbar him.

If Armageddon doesn't get you, the stress of waiting will. Stress and Health: From Molecules to Societies is a scholarly discussion of the links between stress and health. Great stuff about the neurochemistry of stress and PTSD.
